Abstract:
An automatic thread cutting machine for nuts comprises a device for indicating breakage of the screw tap during the thread cutting process. The device comprises a tap working end checking element (17) and an element (19) for control of the tap working end checking element (17). The latter may consist of a double-arm rotatable lever (27) one arm of which is intended for interaction with a contact-free pick-up (22), and the other arm with the working end of the screw tap (18). The control element (19) may consist of a single-arm lever (25) which is mounted with the possibility of interaction, by its arm, with a movable organ of the machine and which is connected to the double-arm lever (27) by means of a finger (32) for blocking the lever (27).
