Abstract:
Provided is an automatic transaction device which communicates with a host computer and executes various types of transaction process, comprising: a medium insertion port wherein a medium is inserted; a conveyance unit which conveys the medium which is inserted into the medium insertion port from the medium insertion port to a prescribed site; a discrimination unit which identifies whether the conveyed medium is paper currency or a transaction medium, and if identifying the medium as the paper currency, identifies the denomination thereof, and if identifying the medium as the transaction medium, recognizes the information that is filled out thereon; and a control unit which executes a transaction process on the basis of the filled-out information recognized by the discrimination unit.
