A structure for an automatic transmission control valve body (1) configured by inserting a separating plate (30) between main valve bodies (10, 20). The openings of the grooves (10a, 20a) formed in the respective opposing surfaces of the main valve bodies (10, 20) are covered by the separating plate (30) that has been inserted between the main valve bodies (10, 20) and separately form an oil pathway (11) on one side and an oil pathway (21) on the other side with the separating plate (30) therebetween. The two oil pathways (11, 21) communicate with each other via an orifice (31) provided in the separating plate (30). In the main valve body (20) in which the groove (20a), which becomes the downstream oil pathway (21) in the direction of hydraulic oil flow, is formed, a protrusion (22) that protrudes towards the open side of the groove (20a) is provided inside the groove (20a) to make the depth (h) of the region of the groove (20a) that faces the orifice (31) more shallow than the depth (H1) of other regions where the protrusion (22) is not provided. The depth (h) of the groove (2a) in the area facing the orifice (31) and the diameter (d) of the orifice (31) are also set so as to satisfy the relationship h ≤ 3d.
