Abstract:

An automatic transmission (3) equipped with a friction element (5) having a locking mechanism (BL) attached thereto, wherein in order to prevent a delayed engagement of the friction element (5) when shifting while driving from drive mode to non-drive mode to drive-mode in a short amount of time, a control device (9) for the automatic transmission (3) does not supply OFF pressure to a release-side-oil chamber (63) if the vehicle speed is higher than a stopping-determined speed when a selection switch (11) selects the non-drive mode.
