Abstract:
An automatic urinary output measuring device which is a medical measuring instrument. Particularly, in the automatic urinary output measuring device according to the invention for measuring and recording a minutely urinary output of a patient and the total urinary output in real time, a diaphragm type piezoelectric drive pump and an infrared transmission type water level sensor are used in combination whereby a urinary channel itself provided with a predetermined tube can be easily attached to and detached from the urinary output measuring device while being kept airtight to the atmosphere. Further, it is possible to realize a urinary output measuring device of a constant volume discharge type, in which a location where a constant amount of urine is collected is provided by providing a bypass passage (47) and a weir (33) in a fluid section (1) constituting the urinary channel, and which malfunctions less frequently. Further, it is possible to simultaneously measure and record a urinary conductivity and the total urinary conductivity and the total urinary conductivity by providing measuring electrodes at the location where a constant amount of urine is collected. A distance (b) between the electrodes in urine is made smaller than that (a) in a sealing member whereby the construction of the electrodes is made hard to be affected in sealing performance. The urinary output measuring device having the above features can be easily subjected to a hygiene control, and is highly convenient to use.
