Abstract:
In order to warehouse a large amount of goods in a short time, an automatic warehouse comprises: a plurality of carrier vehicles disposed at different heights along a rack of the automatic warehouse; and a warehousing lifting and lowering rack (4) provided in the same row as the rack. The warehousing lifting and lowering rack (4) includes: an intra-shelf conveyor for warehousing the goods; and a plurality of shelf frames (40, …, 40) passing up and down on the conveying surface of the intra-shelf conveyor. The distances between the shelf frames (40, …, 40) can be mutually changed. Each of the shelf frames (40) is allowed to pass upward from the bottom on the conveying surface of the intra-shelf conveyor in parallel with loading of the goods by the intra-shelf conveyor, thereby sequentially transferring the goods from the intra-shelf conveyor onto the shelf frames (40). Subsequently, after transferring the goods onto all the shelf frames (40, …, 40), the carrier vehicles store the goods on each of the shelf frames (40) simultaneously into the rack.
