Title:
AUTOMATIC WATER STOPPER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1981/001741
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An automatic water stopper employed by connecting directly to a water supply pipe or to the faucet of a garden water supply pipe to terminate the supply of water automatically when the amount of metered water flowing from the supply pipe reaches a given quantity which has been preset by means of a dial. An impeller for metering the amount of water obtained from the supply pipe, and a ball that closes a valve opening after the prescribed amount of water has been supplied, are arranged at positions close to each other on a straight line lying along the flow path. This permits a reduction in the total length of the flow path from the water inlet toward the water outlet so that the apparatus can be made small in size. In addition, the amount of water to be supplied can be set through a simple operation similar to that employed to operate an ordinary faucet, that is, by turning a single dial that sets the desired water quantity.
