Provided are an automatic raising/lowering wheel mechanism, and an intelligent luggage and a method of using same. The automatic raising/lowering wheel mechanism comprises: a spacer (15); a geared motor (1); a worm wheel (4); a worm shaft (5); a crank (6); a link rod (7); and a driving wheel (12). The geared motor (1) and the worm wheel (4) are disposed on the spacer (15). The geared motor (1) sequentially employs the worm shaft (5) and the worm wheel (4) to drive the crank (6) to rotate. The crank (6) has one end hinged to one end of the link rod (7), and the other end of the link rod (7) drives the driving wheel (12). When the geared motor (1) rotates in a forward direction, the crank (6) rotates downwardly to drive the driving wheel (12) to move downwardly. When the geared motor (1) rotates in a backward direction, the crank (6) rotates upwardly to drive the driving wheel (12) to move upwardly. The automatic raising/lowering wheel mechanism can realize a switch between raising and lowering of the driving wheel (12) and a driven wheel. The driven wheel is a mecanum wheel. The driving wheel (12) performs differential steering, thereby facilitating flexibility and convenience in using the automatic raising/lowering wheel mechanism.
