Abstract:
The automatic wire connecting device of the present invention prevents wire disconnection after connecting wire to a wire collection roller, makes it possible to automatically connect without switching the control system, and reduces wire connection time by increasing wire travel speed. In order to achieve the abovementioned effects, a rotational speed command for the feed direction is output to a wire feed motor (10) when connection operation of a wire electrode (2) occurs, and the automatic wire connecting device, which is provided with a wire feed motor control means that reduces torque in the feeding direction when the detected rotational speed of the wire feed roller (4) is greater than the speed set by the rotational speed command and a wire collection motor control means that carries out wire collection by outputting a predetermined wire collection roller speed command to a wire collection motor (12), is configured so that the wire feed motor control means carries out torque control by assuring that the absolute value of the motor torque in the rewinding direction of the wire feed roller is a smaller value than the absolute value of the motor torque in the feed direction.
