Abstract:
The present invention relates to an automatically switched photovoltaic motor (100) which does not require any magnets, switching devices or converters. To this end, each coil (104) of the invention is connected directly to a photovoltaic cell (105). According to the invention, the cells are arranged around the motor. To perform the switching, a mask (106) is placed on the shaft of the motor. Said mask comprises a succession of transparent portions and portions that are opaque to light. During the rotation of the motor, the photovoltaic cells located under the transparent parts power the motor. The mask enables an automatically switched photovoltaic motor to be obtained with no intermediate devices between the coils and the cells.
