Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/198752
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An automobile body structure provided with rear frames and a subframe, wherein the front ends of a pair of left and right rear frames (12) extending in the front-rear direction are connected to the rear ends of a pair of left and right side sills (11). The rear frames each comprise an inclined portion (14) that is inclined inward in the vehicle width direction toward the rear and a horizontal portion (15) that extends substantially horizontally from the rear end of the inclined portion toward the rear. A subframe (18) which is disposed between the left and right rear frames is provided with a pair of left and right side frames (19) that extend in the front-rear direction along the inner side of the left and right rear frames in the vehicle width direction. The rear frames are each formed to have a closed cross-section by connecting an inner member (25) having a substantially U-shaped cross section open outwardly in the vehicle width direction and an outer member (26) which closes the opening of the inner member. Collision energy absorbing members (13, 34) are arranged at the rear ends of the rear frames. According to this configuration, performance of the collision energy absorbing members can be maximized and the energy absorption effect at the time of rear collision can be enhanced.
