Abstract:
Provided is a display device that performs control to synchronize the turning timing of an analog pointer with the light emission timing of light emission by EL layers at a plurality of consecutive segments, thus making it possible to clearly and effectively display the operation state of the automobile in a more natural manner. A first displaying means that is made of a transparent material and displays the operation state of the automobile through the light emission of the EL layers in each segment is superimposed in front of a second displaying means that displays the operation state of the automobile via a pointer and an index part. Display is controlled such that the display timing of the first displaying means and the display timing of the second displaying means are synchronized with each other.
