Abstract:
An automobile door locking device comprises: an engaging mechanism that engages with a striker; a control device ECU that authenticates a transmitter SW6 on the basis of a signal issued by the transmitter and that can selectively enable and disable operation of an external electric operating element SW1, SW3 according to the authentication state of the transmitter; a locking and unlocking mechanism that can selectively switch between an unlocked state in which the engaging mechanism can be disengaged and a locked state in which the engaging mechanism cannot be disengaged by way of operating an internal mechanical operating element IH or driving a locking and unlocking motor 14; and an electric release mechanism that can disengage the engaging mechanism by way of driving a release electric motor 22 to disengage on the basis of valid operation of the external electric operating element. The control device controls the locking and unlocking motor to unlock after a prescribed amount of time passes from a collision detection when a collision detection means SW12 for detecting automobile collisions detects a collision.
