Abstract:
The technical solution allows installation of a glass with variable transparency in a standard automobile window seal, ensures extended performance of an electrochromic layer which is protected from ultraviolet light, and protects the glass against scratches. The automobile glass includes three glass panes which are laminated on each other. Electrically conductive layers are provided on adjacent surfaces of the first pane and second pane. The space between said panes is hermetically sealed and an electrochromic working substance is disposed therein. A polymer layer which impedes ultraviolet radiation is disposed between the third pane and the second pane. A protective film which does not allow the passage of ultraviolet radiation is adhered to the first pane on the other side. The first pane is designed to be smaller in size than the second pane in the region of contact between the automobile glass and the seal. During installation of the glass, the third pane is placed outwards in the automobile and the first pane is placed inwards.
