Abstract:
A spacing (L) between adjacent chenille yarns which are successively interwoven
as wefts together with multiflament yarn lines (12) is brought to not more than
twice the apparent thickness (D) of the chenille yarn (11), and the apparent thickness
(d) of the multifilament yarn line is brought to not more than one-fifth of the
apparent thickness (D) of the chenille yarn (D ≥ 5d). Warps (13) are selectively
woven on the chenille yarns (11), and, for the unit length (E) of the chenille yarn
corresponding to the apparent thickness of the chenille yarn, a dense part (14)
in which the number (n) of warps provided over the chenille yarn (11) is 5 or more
(5 ≤ n/E), and a coarse part (15) in which the number (n) of warps provided
over the chenille yarn (11) is 3 or less (3 ≥ n/E), are selectively woven
on the woven fabric surface. A polypropylene terephthalate fiber is applied
to a pile (16) in the chenille yarn and the warp. A concave-convex pile woven fabric
suitable for an automobile interior woven fabric can be produced by applying
a polypropylene terephthalate fiber to a pile woven fabric using the chenille
yarn (11) as the weft and taking advantage of excellent stretching properties
as a feature of the polypropylene terephthalate fiber.
