Abstract:
The present invention relates to an automobile occupant protection device comprising an inside airbag device for protecting the neck and the head, wherein the automobile occupant protection device comprises an inside airbag device, which inflates when an accident occurs, thereby dampening shocks applied to the head and neck of the occupant; the inside airbag device comprises a driving-seat rear-seat inside airbag device comprising a driving-seat rear-seat inside airbag module, which is installed on the rear left side of the vehicle, which inflates in such a shape that the right side of the head and neck of the occupant, as well as the front side of the forehead, are surrounded, and which has a stereoscopic shape of "ㄱ" when fully inflated, and a passenger-seat rear-seat inside airbag device comprising a passenger-seat rear-seat inside airbag module, which is installed on the rear right side of the vehicle, which inflates in such a shape that the left side of the head and neck of the occupant, as well as the front side of the forehead, are surrounded, and which has a decalcomania shape with regard to the driving-seat rear-seat inside airbag module when fully inflated; the driving-seat rear-seat inside airbag module buffers shocks applied when the head and neck of the occupant bend towards the right side or when the same lean forward and then bend; the passenger-seat rear-seat inside airbag module buffers shocks applied when the head and neck of the occupant bend towards the left side or when the same lean forward and then bend; and, accordingly, it is possible to prevent the necks of all rear-seat occupants from bending inwards and from bending forwards, not only in the case of a forward/backward collision of the automobile, but also in the case of a lateral collision thereof.
