Abstract:
Provided is an automobile resin component which has high rigidity, heat resistance, and chemical resistance and can thus ensure reliability over an extended period in harsh automobile interior environments. This automobile resin component comprises a first part whereupon a plating film is formed on the surface thereof, and a second part whereupon the plating film is not formed on the surface thereof. The first part further comprises a first thermoplastic resin including a polyamide, a block copolymer including a hydrophilic segment, and metallic particulates. The second part further comprises a second thermoplastic resin. When immersed in water at 23°C for 24 hours, the water absorption rate of the first part is 0.5-3.0weight%, and the water absorption rate of the second part is 2.0weight% or less. The automobile resin component is an air conditioner register, a component which configures the air conditioner register, a gear shift knob, or an assist grip.
