Abstract:
An automobile seat facilitating expansion of a driver's rear field of view. In the automobile seat, a rear pillow section (1b) is held by a headrest stay (1c), a headrest (1) has a front pillow section (1a) capable of being projected forward from the rear pillow section (1b), and the headrest (1) is set up in a height adjustable manner on the top of a seatback (2) with the headrest stay (1c) in between them. The front pillow section (1a) has a predetermined area and shape capable of supporting a seated person from the head to the neck. The rear pillow section (1b) is formed so that its bottom surface has a narrow vertical width and is raised relative to the front pillow section (1a). The seatback (1) has a substantially reverse V-shaped cross section in a side view because of the forwardly projected front pillow section (1a). The headrest (1) can be adjusted to a lower height position by lowering the headrest (1) until it is in contact with the top surface of the seat back (2).
