Abstract:
In an automobile vehicle body structure, a steering hanger (21) is made of a metal pipe (22) on one side in a vehicle width direction and a CFRP pipe (23) on the other side in the vehicle width direction, and a steering column is supported on the metal pipe (22), whereby the weight of the steering hanger (21) can be reduced while ensuring the support strength for the steering column. In addition, the metal pipe (22) is connected to an intermediate portion of a CFRP link member (24, 30) connecting an upper part of a dashboard panel lower member (15) and a center tunnel (16). Thus, collision load that is input to the dashboard panel lower member (15) in the event of a frontal collision can be transmitted via the link member (24, 30) to the center tunnel (16) having high strength, whereby the dashboard panel lower member (15) can be prevented from falling rearward while minimizing an increase in weight, and vibration of the steering column can be prevented by an increase in rigidity of the steering hanger (21).
