Abstract:
This automotive air conditioner is provided with a microbicidal mechanism equipped with: a disinfecting cleaning liquid supply means which is capable of supplying the surface of an evaporator with a disinfecting cleaning liquid comprising an aqueous solution having dissolved therein an ion or a substance that generates a hydroxyl radical upon being irradiated with ultraviolet rays in the presence of water; and a deep-ultraviolet light source which is capable of irradiating the surface of the evaporator with deep-ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of 250 nm or less, and the automotive air conditioner disinfects the evaporator by irradiating the disinfecting cleaning liquid supplied to the surface of the evaporator, with the deep-ultraviolet rays.
