Abstract:
One-way clutches (OWC1, OWC2) are provided on the output sides of transmissions (TM1, TM2). The transmissions (TM1, TM2) have a function wherein output members (121) of the one-way clutches (OWC1, OWC2) are mechanically locked when said output members (121) rotate reversely in the reverse travel direction. Clutch mechanisms (CL1, CL2) are interposed between the output members (121) of the one-way clutches (OWC1, OWC2) and a rotary driven member (11) connected to drive wheels (2). A control means (5) operates in such a way that if, according to hill-climbing start conditions, vehicle reverse travel prevention control is determined to be necessary, either of the clutch mechanisms (CL1, CL2) are turned on, and that if vehicle reverse travel prevention control is determined to be unnecessary, the clutch mechanisms (CL1, CL2) are turned off. Thus, provided is an automotive drive system such that by merely performing simple control, it is possible to carry out a hill hold assist function.
