Abstract:
A detection method for detecting heading (H) based on sensor data of a radar sensor (3) is provided. The radar sensor (3) provides sensor data in form of a range (R) to range rate (r) spectrum. Two clusters (C1, C2) of spectrum cells (Si) or recognition points (Pi) are determined. The spectrum cells or recognition points of a first cluster (C1) and a second cluster (C2) have an intensity value. The spectrum cells or recognition points of the first cluster (C1) are arranged on a first linear stretch (st1). The spectrum cells or recognition points of the second cluster are arranged on a second linear stretch (st2). A first slope gradient (g1) is determined for the spectrum cells or recognition points in the first cluster (C1). A second slope gradient (g2) is determined for the spectrum cells or recognition points in the second cluster (C2).
