CLAIMS

1. An autonomous door mechanism providing full or partial opening of doors (2) of washing or drying machines (1) in right/left and/or up/down directions characterized by comprising; located oppositely on right/left and/or lower/upper parts of the door (2);

• a driving mechanism (3) providing the door (2) to conduct movement of opening and closing subject to the machine (1) containing o a locking pin (3.2) to provide connection of the door (2) to the chine (1) and a driving mechanism hinge (3.3) located on the door o a driving arm (3.5) connected between the door (2) and the machine (1), o a secondary driving member (3.4) providing movement of the driving arm (3.5) and by means it providing movement of the door (2) in respect to the machine (1)

• a locking mechanism (4) providing locking of the door (2) to the machine (1 ) or release thereof and containing o a locking hinge (4.3) located on the door (2) to provide connection of the door (2) to the machine (1) o a locking hinge (4.2) to provide conduct of locking function, o a locking driving member (4.1 ) to provide movement of the locking hinge (4.2).

2. The autonomous door mechanism according to claim 1 characterized by comprising; a primary driving member (3.1) providing pulling the locking pin (3.2) and separation thereof from driving mechanism hinge (3.3) located on driving mechanism (3) to provide release of door (2) by any driving mechanisms (3) in case when a secondary driving mechanism (3) and a locking mechanism (4) are located between the door (2) and the machine (1) in order to provide opening of the door (2) in different directions in respect to machine (1 ).

Description:
AUTONOMOUS DOOR MECHANISM FOR WASHING OR DRYING MACHINE

THE RELATED ART

Invention in general relates to washing and drying machines used in homes and industry.

Invention particularly relates to autonomous door mechanism providing autonomous opening and closing of washing and drying machines covers or providing opening and closing at specified time intervals for aeration purposes.

BACKGROUND OF THE RELATED ART

Today washing and drying machines are used to wash and dry clothes. Clothes are put into or removed from said machines from a door having hinges on one side and a locking side on the other and capable to lock and unlock.

In washing and drying machines used in present art door is opened to right or left by help of a mechanical latch after washing and/or drying operation. As the door is not autonomously opened the clothes not taken for long time by user may smell bad, which disturbs user. In addition, even the door of washing or drying machine is left open by user after washing and/or drying by user in order to prevent bad smelling, there is danger of baby or pet entering the tub. This adversely affects user comfort and safety.

The document numbered EP3623524B1 relates to door hinge mechanism used in washing machines. The invention relates to passing of detergent through hinge mechanism of channels conducting detergent dosage. However, the invention does not disclose autonomous opening of door and opening and closing of door at specified time intervals for aeration purpose. Document numbered EP3610063B1 relates to a washing machine comprising a door. This invention a washing machine comprising a body, a door located on body, allowing access to inside of the body, containing a primary door group and a secondary door group interconnected, at least a primary connection member located on primary door group and at least a second connection member located on secondary door group interlocking into primary connection member and providing fixing secondary door group onto primary door group when secondary door group is rotated in mounting direction on primary door group. However, the invention does not disclose information on autonomous opening of door and opening and closing of door at specified time intervals for aeration purpose.

In conclusion, developments have been made in washing and/or drying machine doors and, therefore, new embodiments eliminating the above disadvantages and offering solutions to existing systems are needed.

PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to autonomous door locking mechanism meeting the above mentioned needs and eliminating all disadvantages and providing some additional advantages.

Primary purpose of the invention is to provide an autonomous opening and closing of doors of washing and/or drying machines.

Another purpose of the invention is to provide not only aeration but also safety for babies and pets entering into machine by opening and closing doors of washing and/or drying machines at specified time intervals and for specified time period.

The structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention will be understood better in the figures given below and the detailed description by reference to the figures. Therefore, the assessment should be made based on the figures and taking into account the detailed descriptions. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF FIGURES

In order to make the embodiment and additional members being subject of the present invention as well as the advantages clearer for better understanding, it should be assessed with reference to the fallowing described figures.

Figure 1 shows demounted view of machine comprising autonomous door mechanism of the invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the autonomous door mechanism being subject of the invention have been described in a manner not forming any restrictive effect and only for purpose of better understanding of the matter.

Invention is an autonomous door mechanism providing full or partial opening of doors (2) of washing or drying machines (1) in right/left and/or up/down directions and comprises; located oppositely on right/left and/or lower/upper parts of the door (2);

• a driving mechanism (3) providing the door (2) to conduct movement of opening and closing subject to the machine (1) containing o a locking pin (3.2) to provide connection of the door (2) to the machine (1) and a driving mechanism hinge (3.3) located on the door (2) o a driving arm (3.5) connected between the door (2) and the machine (1), o a secondary driving member (3.4) providing movement of the driving arm (3.5) and by means it providing movement of the door (2) in respect to the machine (1)

• a locking mechanism (4) providing locking of the door (2) to the machine (1 ) or release thereof and containing o a locking hinge (4.3) located on the door (2) to provide connection of the door (2) to the machine (1) o a locking hinge (4.2) to provide conduct of locking function, o a locking driving member (4.1 ) to provide movement of the locking hinge (4.2).

Figure 1 shows demounted view of machine (1) having autonomous door mechanism. In the most general form, the autonomous door mechanism of the invention comprises at least a driving mechanism (3) connected between machine (1) and door (2) and at least a locking mechanism (4).

Figure 2 shows preferred embodiment wherein autonomous door mechanism is located on the door (2). Autonomous door mechanism comprises at least a driving mechanism (3) and at least a locking mechanism (4) located mutually on right and left sections and/or bottom and upper sections of the door in order to provide opening of the door (2) to right/left or up/down subject to machine (1).

Figure 3 and Figure 4 show detailed views of driving mechanism (3) and locking mechanism (4). Driving mechanism (3) provides opening of door (2) connected to the machine (1) at a specified level or fully. In order to provide it, driving mechanism

(3) comprises a locking pin (3.2) providing fixing the door (2) to the machine (1) and a driving mechanism hinge (3.3). Driving mechanism hinge (3.3) is connected onto the door (2) and provides fixing of the door (2) to the machine (1) by means of locking pin (3.2) connected to driving mechanism hinge (3.3). Driving mechanism (3) functions in general as a connection and hinge between the door (2) and the machine (1). A driving arm (3.5) located on driving mechanism (3) and connected between the machine (1) and the door (2) is provided in order to provide opening of door (2) at a certain level or fully subject to machine (1). Movement of driving arm (3.5) is provided by means of a secondary driving member (3.4) also located on the driving mechanism (3). Driving mechanism (3) also enables conduct of opening of door (2) connected to machine (1) by driving mechanism (3) at a certain level and conduct of aeration operation or fully opening thereof to take or put clothes.

In order to provide full closing of the door (2) during operation of the machine (1 ) a locking mechanism (4) is located between machine (1) and the door (2) opposite the driving mechanism. To provide functioning of said locking mechanism (4) a driving shaft (4.2) and a locking hinge (4.3) are provided. Locking hinge (4.3) is connected on the door (2). Locking mechanism (4) is connected onto the machine (1 ) and locking function is provided by means of interlocking of driving shaft (4.2) connected to locking mechanism (4) to locking hinge (4.3). Motion of driving shaft (4.2) is provided by locking driving member (4.1) provided on locking mechanism (4).

In the embodiment of the invention, driving mechanism (3) and locking mechanism

(4) is located opposite one another on right and left sections of the door (2) to provide opening of the door (2) to right or left during normal use. Alternatively, in order to ensure safety at homes having babies or pets, driving mechanism (3) and locking mechanism (4) located on bottom and upper parts of the door (2) enable partial or full opening of the door (2) from upper section to perform aeration function and door function. In the status where driving mechanisms (3) and locking mechanisms (4) are located on both right and left sections and bottom and upper parts of the door (2), in order to prevent stop of working of a driving mechanism (3) by another driving mechanism (3), it is provided to pull locking pin (3.2) of primary driving member (3.1) located on driving mechanism (3) and release of door (2) by driving mechanism (3) in one direction. Locking mechanism (4) located opposite said driving mechanism (3) releases the door (2) by disconnection of driving shaft (4.2) from locking hinge (4.3) by locking driving member (4.1 ). Thus the adjustment is made based on the direction desired to operate the door (2) to enable opening and closing of the door (2).

A sample working principle of invention is as follows:

In washing or drying machines (1) signal indicating completion of washing or drying work is transmitted to locking mechanism (4) by a control unit and locking driving member (4.1 ) lifts up the driving shaft (4.2) and separates it from locking hinge (4.3). Then the secondary driving member (3.4) located inside the driving mechanism (3) managed autonomously by control unit moves the driving arm (3.5) and after opening of door (2) to right or left and completion of aeration operation, it provides autonomous closing, this operation is controlled by control unit and repeated at certain intervals. In order to protect babies and pets in the environment where washing or drying machine (1 ) is used, it is provided to open driving mechanism (3) and locking mechanism (4) located in bottom and upper part of the door (2) above the door (2) at a certain angle and for a certain time period and conduct aeration. Driving mechanism (3) and locking mechanism (4) are autonomously managed systems can be programmed from washing or drying machine (1) according user’s preference.
