Abstract:
 An autonomous driving system has a plurality of autonomous driving vehicles running under management by closed control, wherein a situation is prevented in which, due to a malfunction of an outside sensor for detecting obstacles, an autonomous driving vehicle is no longer able to run, and therefore stops within a closed area, blocking the movement of all vehicles therebehind and causing a marked reduction in efficiency of the transportation operation overall. The autonomous driving system of the present invention is characterized in that the autonomous driving vehicle running autonomously with a sensor detecting obstacles and a driving path is provided with: a sensor state assessment means for assessing whether there is a decrease in performance of the sensor; a speed/steering angle limit setting means for providing limits in driving speed and steering angle on the basis of whether there is a decrease in performance of the sensor; and a movement obstacle assessment means for assessing the effect on the movement of other vehicles if the autonomous driving vehicle were to stop in the present location thereof, the autonomous driving vehicle stopping after running under the set speed and steering angle limits to an area in which the autonomous driving vehicle does not block the movement of other vehicles, when there is a decrease in performance of the sensor.
