Abstract:
Disclosed is an autonomous locomotion body capable of appropriately performing a stop action or an evacuation action in accordance with the conditions when an obstacle which may interfere with the locomotion body is present. An autonomous locomotion body (1) is provided with a laser range sensor (12) and an electronic control device (20). The electronic control device (20) is provided with a storage unit (22) for storing the size (D2) of the locomotion body itself; a width specifying unit (27) for specifying a space size (D1) indicating the size in the width direction of a path (95) which is an area where the body is movable; a calculation unit (23) for calculating the size (D8) of an interference obstacle (66) with respect to the direction substantially perpendicular to a moving target direction (72) on the road, on the basis of the obstacle information; an action selection unit (24) for selecting a stop action or an evacuation action, on the basis of the space size (D1), the size (D2) of the locomotion body itself, and the size (D8) of the interference obstacle (66); and a movement control unit (25) which stops the locomotion body itself when the stop action is selected, and which evacuates the locomotion body itself when the evacuation action is selected.
