Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an autonomous mobile system that achieves simplification of configuration work and improvement of collision prevention performance, etc. [Solution] A circular route-side guide line 11 is provided on the road surface of a circular route 3, branch route-side guide lines 12 are provided on the road surfaces of branch routes 4, and autonomous traveling robots 20 travel while tracing these guide lines 11, 12. Branch signs 13 (13a—13e) are each provided on the circular route 3 a predetermined distance upstream of a branch point 5 where a respective one of the branch routes 4 is connected to the circular route 3, and junction signs 14 are each provided on a different junction path 6 a predetermined distance upstream of the junction point 6 where the junction path 6 is connected to the circular route 3. Each of the branch signs 13 and junction signs 14 is square and is formed by adhering a predetermined pattern of a retroreflective material (retroreflective tape); however, the pattern of each branch sign 13 is unique and is associated with a respective one of the branch routes 4a—4e.
