Abstract:
An autonomous movement device (100) comprises a drive unit (40), a storage unit (20), and a control unit (10). The control unit (10): causes the storage unit (20) to store teaching data which has been taught; controls the drive unit (40) on the basis of the teaching data to cause the autonomous movement device (100) to travel automatically; controls the drive unit (40), at a hold point, which is a point where the automatic travel of the autonomous movement device (100) is temporarily stopped, to cause the autonomous movement device (100) to travel in a travel mode other than the automatic travel; and when the autonomous movement device (100) reaches the vicinity of the hold point by using the travel mode other than the automatic travel, restarts the automatic travel which has been temporarily stopped.
