Abstract:
This autosampler comprises an imaging unit that moves within a horizontal plane and vertically while maintaining a positional relationship with a needle and images the distal end of the needle from a position diagonally upward from the distal end such that the distal end of the needle, the area immediately below the distal end, and the upper surface of a nearby vial are in the field of view. An image of the field of view of the imaging unit is used to measure the distance between the distal end of the needle and a target position, and the distal end of the needle is made to reach the target position on the basis of the measured distance.
