Abstract:
An auxiliary implement (10) for colonoscopy has one tube member (11) made from a flexible predetermined material of which inside is a cavity. Holes (14) reaching the cavity are arranged in a region over a predetermined length from one end in which an insertion opening that is to be inserted from the anus into the intestine of a patient is formed, and the holes (14) function as intake openings for taking in fluid staying in the patient’s intestine. Although it is constructed extremely simple in structure and low in cost, the auxiliary implement (10) for colonoscopy enables a colonoscope to be easily inserted into the intestine without causing the patient pain and also enables excess air and intestine irrigation liquid staying in the intestine to be efficiently discharged to the outside of the patient’s body.
