Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to easily assign auxiliary information having sufficient expressiveness to a name of a program and a comment for each line of a program. Provided is an auxiliary information setting assistance device that assists with setting auxiliary information pertaining to a program name and a comment to be assigned to a program used in an industrial machine, the auxiliary information setting assistance device comprising: a storage unit for storing priority level determination information used to determine, on the basis of a state of a machine of the industrial machine and/or an instruction included in the program, a priority level for each fixed phrase for generating the auxiliary information and for each word that can be applied to the fixed phrase; and a presentation unit that presents the fixed phrase and the word to be used in the auxiliary information in an order of the priority level on the basis of the priority level determination information, the state of the machine of the industrial machine, and the program.
