Abstract:
Provided are auxiliary lens insert type eyeglasses such that auxiliary lenses (5) can be attached to and detached from a glasses main body with minimal effort without the surface of the auxiliary lenses (5) being contaminated by direct contact with fingers, the auxiliary lenses (5) are not liable to drop out from vibration and the like, and the auxiliary lenses (5) when mounted are free of distortion caused by the application of stress thereto from the outside. In auxiliary lens insert type eyeglasses in which left and right independent auxiliary lenses (5) are installed, an auxiliary lens (5) is mated to a front rim (2) by mating a first protrusion (51) provided on the bridge side of the auxiliary lens (5) to a first slit (21) provided on the inside peripheral bridge side of a front rim (2), mating a second protrusion (52) provided on the temple side of the auxiliary lens (5) to a second slit (22) provided on the inside periphery of the temple side of the front rim (2), and bringing the upper and lower back edge parts of the auxiliary lens (5) into close contact with a holding surface (23) provided on the upper and lower inside periphery of the front rim (2). Attachment and detachment of the auxiliary lens (5) is carried out by elastically deforming the auxiliary lens (5) by manipulating an attachment and detachment tab (6) latched to the temple side of the auxiliary lens.
