Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may use UE cooperation to distribute, between the first UE and a second UE, communications between the first UE and a base station. The UE may receive, from the second UE, paging data indicating at least one paging monitoring occasion associated with the second UE. The UE may selectively continue or end, based at least in part on the paging data, the UE cooperation for subsequent communications between the first UE and the base station. Numerous other aspects are described.
