Abstract:
Provided are avian myeoblastosis virus (AMV) reverse transcriptase with improved heat stability and a method for producing the same. The AMV reverse transcriptase with improved heat stability can be obtained by substituting an amino acid at a specific position, among the amino acids constituting AMV reverse transcriptase, by another amino acid. The aforesaid reverse transcriptase can be produced by transforming a host with an expression vector containing a polynucleotide that encodes the reverse transcriptase and then culturing the obtained transformant.
