Abstract:
(1) An axial force controlling nut assembly (10) having a seat member (11), a tightening nut (12) rotated relative to the seat member, and a ring assembly (13) disposed between the seat member and the tightening nut. (2) The ring assembly (13) includes one or more rings, and at least one of the rings is an axial force controlling ring (20) that is rotatable before a bolt axial force is at an appropriate level and that is restrained for rotation when the bolt axial force is equal to or greater than the appropriate level. (3) The ring assembly (13) includes an elastically deformable ring (21), and there is a gap between an outer peripheral section of the elastically deformable ring (21) and the seat member (11) before a bolt axial force is at an appropriate level and there is no gap between the outer peripheral section of the elastically deformable ring (21) and the seat member (11) when the bolt axial force is equal to or greater than the appropriate level.
