Abstract:
An axial-gap rotating electric machine (1) includes a stator (2), rotors (3), nozzle parts (4), and piping (50). The rotors (3) are each equipped with a disc-shaped base material (31), on the inner surface (31S) of which permanent magnets (32) are affixed, and the rotors are disposed such that a gap (G) exists in the axial direction between the rotors and the stator (2). The nozzle parts (4) are disposed near the outer peripheral edges of the base material (31), and discharge a cooling fluid (L) toward the radial center of the outer surfaces (31R) of the base material (31). The piping (50) includes supply piping (51) that supplies the cooling fluid (L) to the nozzle parts (4). The cooling fluid (L) ejected from the nozzle parts (4) rains down near the radial center of the outer surfaces (31R) and lubricates the entire outer surfaces (31R) due to the centrifugal force resulting from the rotation of the rotors (3), thereby exchanging heat with the permanent magnets (32).
