Abstract:
Provided is an axial-gap type motor that is superior in performance and cost, that can be accurately and easily manufactured, and in which positioning among components constituting a core with a yoke is easy. This axial-gap type motor comprises: a core (7) with a yoke in which a stator or a rotor has an annular back yoke (8) and a plurality of magnetic pole cores (9) projecting from the side surface of the back yoke (8); and a coil (10). The core (7) with a yoke is a core piece arranged body in which core pieces (7A) divided for the respective magnetic pole cores (9) are arranged in the circumferential direction. Each of the core pieces (7A) has a magnetic pole core part (7Aa) and a back yoke part (7Ab). Each of the core pieces (7A) is a laminated steel sheet formed by stacking a plurality of steel sheets (11) in the radial direction.
