Abstract:
The invention addresses the problem of, in an axial gap type rotating electric machine in which a stator is held by a resin mold, grounding a stator core with an inexpensive structure and high reliability.
The axial gap type rotating electric machine of the present invention comprises: a stator having a stator core; a shaft passing through the stator; a rotor disposed with a gap interposed between the stator and itself in the direction of the shaft; a housing that houses the stator; a first connection member for connecting the stator core and the housing; and a resin material for fixing the stator to the inner wall of the housing. The first connection member is provided with: a first connection portion connected to the stator core; a second connection portion connected to the inner wall of the housing; and a plastic deformation portion provided between the first connection portion and the second connection portion.
