Abstract:
An axial piston pump or motor with a fully external hold-down mechanism. The axial piston pump comprises a flow distributing plate (2), a cylinder block (3), a housing (4), a swashplate (10), and a drive shaft (11). A front end cover (12) is connected to the housing (4) via screws. A rear end cover (1) is connected to the housing (4) via bolts. The cylinder block (3) and the housing (4) have a sliding fit by means of self-lubricating guide posts (51) and self-lubricating guide sleeves (53). A cylindrical helical spring (52) is installed in a protrusion of the housing (4), and acts on a surface of a protrusion of the cylinder block (3) to achieve hold-down of a flow distributing pair. A universal ball- and spring-loaded piston (72) is installed on a base (71) of a protrusion of the swashplate (10), and a ball head portion thereof acts on a surface of a pressing plate (9) to achieve hold-down of a slipper pair. The slipper pair and flow distributing pair are all held down by externally arranged mechanisms, and do not interfere with each other. The springs exert forces with a large effective lever arm, and a slipper (8) and the cylinder block (3) have high resistance to tilting. The present invention has a simple and practical structure, and is easy to assemble.
