Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an axial type rotating electrical machine with improved torque and efficiency relative to the size of the rotor. The axial type rotating electrical machine is provided with a stator having a stator core, and a rotor facing the stator along the axial direction of a rotary shaft passing through the stator. The rotor includes a permanent magnet disposed facing the stator core in the axial direction of the rotary shaft, a yoke disposed facing the stator core across from the permanent magnet, and a support member for supporting the yoke. The support member has a protruding part that protrudes so as to face the lateral surface of the permanent magnet on the side away from the rotary shaft. When projected along the axial direction of the rotary shaft, the permanent magnet includes a first region formed thereon where the projected part of the permanent magnet does not overlap with the projected part of the yoke, the first region being formed on the outer diameter side of the permanent magnet, and the first region being formed next to the protuding part.
