Abstract:
Provided is an azo compound production method involving generating a diazonium salt by producing a diazotization reaction in an organic amine compound represented by formula (2) or a salt thereof in the presence of nitrosylsulfuric acid, and producing an azo compound represented by formula (3) by reacting the compound represented in formula (1) and the diazonium salt. R11 represents a halogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkoxy group; R1 and R2 represent a hydrogen atom; R3 and R4 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a group represented by formula (4), etc.; R5 and R8 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, etc. n represents an integer 0-4. X represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom. * represents a binding site.
