Abstract:
Disclosed is an azo pigment which has excellent color characteristics such as coloring power and hue, while exhibiting excellent durability such as light resistance and ozone resistance. A pigment dispersion containing the azo pigment and a coloring composition are also disclosed. Specifically disclosed is an azo pigment represented by general formula (1), a tautomer thereof, or a salt or hydrate of the pigment or a tautomer thereof. (In the general formula (1), G0 and G1 independently represent a non-metal atomic group which can form an unsubstituted or substituted, five-membered or six-membered heterocyclic group which may be a monocyclic ring or a fused ring; X represents a heteroatom; n represents an integer of 1-4; and A represents a substituent selected from a group of specific substituents. When n = 2, the compound of formula (1) represents a dimer linked though A or a heterocyclic group represented by G0 or G1. When n = 3, the compound of formula (1) represents a trimer linked though A and/or a heterocyclic group represented by G0 or G1. When n = 4, the compound of formula (1) represents a tetramer linked though A and/or a heterocyclic group represented by G0 or G1.)
