Abstract:
An azo compound, azo pigment, azo pigment dispersion, and coloring composition which have excellent chromatic characteristics including coloring power and hue and have excellent fastness properties (in particular, solvent resistance). The azo pigment is represented by formula (1) and, in analysis by CuKα characteristic X-ray diffractometry, has characteristic X-ray diffraction peaks at Bragg angles (2θ±0.5º) of 7.1º, 25.3º, 26.0º, and 27.2º. A tautomer, salt, hydrate, or solvate of the azo pigment is provided.
