Abstract:

A bis(2−aryl−5−pyridyl) derivative represented by the general formula (1): (1) [wherein A represents an optionally substituted aromatic hydrocarbon group and X represents a group selected among the following formulae (2) to (4): (2) (3) (4) (wherein in the formula (2), R¹ represents hydrogen or lower alkyl substituted by di(lower alkyl)amino and m is a number of 1 or 2&semi in the formula (3), Y¹ and Y² each represents nitrogen or CH and n is a number of 0 to 6&semi and in the formula (4), R² and R³ each represents hydrogen or lower alkyl, Z represents a single bond, substituted methylene, substituted imino, oxygen, or cycloalkylene, and p and q each is a number of 0 to 6)] or a salt of the derivative. The compound (1) has excellent IgE antibody production inhibitory activity and is useful as a medicine such as a preventive&sol remedy for allergic immunopathy.
