Abstract:
The present invention relates to Bacillus megaterium BC2-1 KCCM 10858P, which is a novel strain useful for removing odor and heavy metals. The present invention also relates to a microorganism preparation containing the strain as an effective ingredient for removing odor and heavy metals. The present invention also relates to methods for producing a liquid fertilizer or livestock feed by removing odor or heavy metals from food waste or livestock wastewater. The Bacillus megaterium BC2-1 KCCM 10858P has an excellent odor removal effect by very quickly removing odor from livestock wastewater and food waste and thus appears to be a strain having an excellent odor removal ability. Additionally, the strain has the ability to remove very well some of heavy metals contained in livestock wastewater and food waste.
