Abstract:
A back cover-less retarded-descent trash bin comprising a bin lid (1), a bin body (21), an inner bin (22), a base (24), and a retarded-descent lid-opening apparatus. A ring (3) is fixed on the upper edge of the bin body (21). The bin lid (1) and the ring (3) are connected via a hinge (32). The retarded-descent lid-opening apparatus comprises a tape (4) that is pulled by a pedal. The tape (4) is connected to a cushioning air valve (5). The tape (4) is arranged to extend upwards between the bin body (21) and the inner bin (22). The ring (3) is provided with a support part (31) at the top part corresponding to the tape (4). The support part (31) is pivotally connected via left and right pivots thereof with a tape push rod (6). The outer extremity of the tape push rod (6) is connected to the top part of the tape. The inner extremity of the tape push rod (6) is movably and pivotally connected to an upper push rod (7). The top part of the upper push rod (7) is pivotally connected at the inside of the inner bin corresponding to the position of the hinge (32). When opening the lid, the tape (4) is driven by the pedal to pull downwards the outer extremity of the tape push rod (6), the tape push rod (6) rotates around the pivots, and the inner extremity of the tape push rod (6) jacks up the upper push rod (7), thus jacking open the bin lid (1). By having the lid-opening mechanism built into the bin body and the inside of the bin lid, the structure of a product is of increased compactness.
