The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a back door for automobiles, which is lightweight and is provided with a metal member and a resin member in which the bonding strength between the both members is high; and a method for manufacturing the back door for automobiles. The back door is provided with: a metal member 1 which comprises a metal base material 2 and one or a plurality of resin coating layers 4 laminated on at least a portion of the surface of the metal base material 2; and a resin member 8 which is joined to a resin coating layer 4 side 4s of the metal member 1. At least one of the resin coating layers 4 is a modified polyolefin layer formed from a resin composition containing a modified polyolefin, and the modified polyolefin layer comprises at least one layer selected from the group consisting of a layer comprising a reaction product 1 of a maleic-anhydride-modified polyolefin, a bifunctional epoxy resin and a bifunctional phenolic compound, a layer comprising a reaction product 2 of a maleic-anhydride-modified polyolefin and a thermoplastic epoxy resin, and a layer comprising a mixture of a polyolefin and a thermoplastic epoxy resin.
