Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of suppressing the consumption of an electricity storage unit. A backup power supply system (1) comprises an electricity storage unit (2) and a control unit (3). The electricity storage unit (2) supplies power to a load (4) in accordance with an electrical characteristic of a main power supply (5) that supplies power to the load (4). The control unit (3) controls the power supply from the main power supply (5) and the electricity storage unit (2) to the load (4). The load (4) includes a first load (41) and a second load (42). The control unit (3) performs control so that the first load (41) and the second load (42) are supplied with power from the main power supply (5) when the electrical characteristic of the main power supply (5) is greater than or equal to a first threshold value (Vth1). The control unit (3) performs control so that the second load (42) is supplied with power from the main power supply (5) and the first load (41) is supplied with power from the electricity storage unit (2) when the electrical characteristic of the main power supply (5) is less than the first threshold value (Vth1).
