Abstract:
The present invention relates to a toilet fill valve which is mounted on an overflow pipe to smoothly supply flush water supplied by a faucet to a water tank and to a toilet bowl. More particularly, the present invention relates to a backflow prevention apparatus for a toilet fill valve, which prevents flush water from flowing backward from the water tank and the toilet bowl to the faucet by the counter-pressure of the flush water flowing backward to the faucet upon the occurrence of a shortage of water supplied by the faucet to the water tank and the toilet bowl. For this purpose, the backflow prevention apparatus comprises: said toilet fill valve for supplying or cutting off the supply of flush water from the faucet to the water tank; a fixing unit for fixing the toilet fill valve at the overflow pipe; a float with a packing for opening/shutting a hole of the toilet fill valve in accordance with the level of water stored in the water tank; and a backflow prevention unit which supplies flush water supplied by the faucet into the water tank, and which is embedded in the toilet fill valve to prevent flush water in the water tank from flowing backward to the faucet upon the occurrence of backflow of the flush water. The backflow prevention unit includes a backflow prevention member arranged in a supply pipe of the toilet fill valve, and an operation control member mounted at a stopper protrusion of the toilet fill valve to control the operation of the backflow prevention member.
