Abstract:
This backlash adjustment mechanism is provided with: a holder for holding a bearing that rotatably supports a driving gear; and a biasing member that biases the bearing in a direction in which the driving gear and a driven gear mesh with each other. The holder has guide parts (62) which support the outer circumferential surface of the bearing and guide the movement of the bearing moving toward the driven gear. The guide parts (62) each have a planar guide surface (160) that includes a slide area (161) over which the bearing slides. The guide surface (160) is provided with a ridge (169) that projects toward the bearing along a direction intersecting with the biasing direction of the biasing member. This ridge (169) is positioned on an outer side of the slide area (161).
