Abstract:
Disclosed is a backless label separation device for a portable backless label application machine, said backless label separation device having a relatively simple construction which enables the easy separation of a backless label (3) from a conveying roller (18), and improved ease of maintenance in the event that the backless label (3) jams or the like. Also disclosed is a backless label separation method. A platen unit (6) comprises the conveying roller (18), a pressing element (19), an endless conveying belt (23). The backless label separation device has a separating claw element (49) which is rotatably mounted to a platen frame (17) by rotatably providing the separating claw element (49) on the platen frame (17) of the platen unit (6), and which can detach the backless label (3) pressed onto the conveying roller (18) from the conveying roller (18) using the pressing element (19). The separating claw element (49) is disposed between the conveying roller (18) and the endless conveying belt (23).
